Food
Last year we were able to buy lunch and snacks for our participants through the funds that we raised.
We have a few questions about UNCC Vendors:
- What food must be bought from the vendors?
- What is the estimated pricing for catering to 90 people per meal?
- What food can we get ourselves, as in what is not required to be purchased from UNCC vendors?
- Snacks, sweets
- Certain meals of the day

Ideal Venue RequirementsFinancial Help
Last year, UNCC greatly helped Queen City Hacks by giving $250, which allowed us to expand our prize pool, and get extra snacks and t-shirts.
This year, we are doubling the number of attendees, prizes, food, and swag, and are increasing other misc costs. As expected, this will significantly increase costs. We will need some more information to calculate expenses for a 24-hour event, including the UNCC Vendor Catering costs(see Food), security requirements and pricing(see Expenses of 24-Hour Event), and misc. fees.
Once all our questions are answered, we will be able to get a close estimate of our 24-hour and two-day budget.
If you wish to give full monetary support, we have a tier list of sponsorship amounts for our event and what perks come along with it:
- Title Sponsor- $5000 in monetary support (Limit 1)
- Name included as [Acme]’s Queen City Hacks or other negotiable name system
- Premier logo placement on website and event branding
- Primary placement on hackathon merch such as t-shirts
- Optional promotional speech at the event
- Optional custom workshops

Expenses of 24-Hour Event
Security: If security is required for an event like this, then we are hoping to get security provided to the space by UNCC. If we have to pay additional rates for UNCC’s security, then we will look to see if it will fit our budget or look to outsource it.
Supervision: Are there adult volunteers that could help with supervision- teachers, students, volunteers, or other administrators- we could get our own if not possible.
